These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using Luka Journey, a mobile app for South African parents, guardians, and authorised caregivers who want to keep child health and care information together in one place.

Using Luka Journey. When you create an account, sign in, or use the Luka Journey app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who should use it. Luka Journey is for parents, legal guardians, and other caregivers who are legally allowed to manage or share a child's information. You must only use the app if you have the right to add, view, or share the information you put into it.

What the app is for. Luka Journey helps families organise records such as vaccinations, growth updates, milestones, clinic or emergency visit notes, provider details, reminders, and uploaded documents. Luka Journey is intended for use through the mobile app. The public website is informational only and does not provide account access.

Your account and your role. You are responsible for keeping your login details private, using the app lawfully, and making sure the information you add is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you invite another person to view or help manage care information, you are responsible for choosing the correct access level and making sure you are allowed to share that information with them.

Sharing and invited access. Luka Journey may allow you to invite family members, caregivers, or clinicians to access certain information. Please only share child or family information with people you trust and are authorised to involve. Once information is shared with an invited person, they may be able to view, use, or keep copies of that information according to their role and permissions.

Health guidance. Luka Journey helps you organise information. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or medical-device functionality. Always contact a doctor, nurse, clinic, hospital, or emergency service when you need medical help.

Acceptable use. You must not misuse Luka Journey, try to gain unauthorised access to accounts or data, upload harmful code, impersonate another person, or use the app in a way that breaks the law or violates another person's privacy or rights.

Privacy and deletion. We handle personal information as explained in our Privacy Policy. If you want to remove your data or close your account, please read Delete Your Data.

Availability and changes. We may improve, change, pause, or remove parts of Luka Journey from time to time. We do not promise that the app will always be available without interruption or error. If we make important changes to these terms, we will post the updated version and may also tell you in the app or by email.

Suspension or termination. We may suspend or stop access to Luka Journey if you misuse the service, break these terms, create legal or security risk, or if we are required to do so by law.
